Play Therapy

Play Therapy is a powerful tool for addressing emotional, behavioral and cognitive challenges. We can utilize Play Therapy to address the following; anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, school stress, and a number of other presenting issues. Research shows that Play Therapy is most effective with family involvement. Helping parents through understanding not only themselves, but their children is key in our work. In utilizing Play Therapy we are able to support parents towards a connected parenting experience. It is our passion to not only support our children's healing, but the whole family.

EMDR & Trauma Therapy

Trauma comes in different forms, whether it is a large event or multiple small events. The response of the body and the irrational beliefs that are stored from them can leave us needing specialized help. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidenced-based treatment that helps with the following; depression, mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, abuse/neglect, ADHD, stress reduction, vicarious trauma, excessive grief, performance enhancement/anxiety, etc. EMDR is appropriate to use with children and adults.

Eating Disorder Therapy

Eating disorder therapy and care resources encompass several key components. Therapy options include individual, family, and group sessions, which help address the psychological and emotional aspects of the disorder. Medical care focuses on monitoring and treating physical health issues related to the eating disorder, such as nutritional deficiencies. Support groups provide a sense of community and shared experiences, offering mutual encouragement and advice. For severe cases, residential or inpatient programs offer intensive treatment in a structured environment. Additionally, online resources and helplines provide immediate support and information for those seeking help remotely. Together, these resources aim to support recovery by addressing both the symptoms and underlying causes of eating disorders.
