Welcome! My name is Erin McKinney, LCSW-QS, RPT and I provide in office therapy sessions in North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and virtual therapy sessions through out Florida!

I created Deeply Rooted Psychotherapy with the dream of providing high quality care to the community with clinicians that are truly supported in their own well-being. Our practice works to embody genuine care comes from when we are taking care of ourselves, only then can we can pour into others.

I'd like to acknowledge your courage for taking this step for yourself and your family. I know it can be intimidating. As parents and people that serve our community, we are so focused on supporting others, we often overlook ourselves.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my goal is to help you look into all areas of your life to identify where to grow. 

Using my Registered Play Therapist credential, I am able to help guide you as a parent, support you in healing your own inner child and help your child process their struggles. 

I am an EMDR Certified Therapist which allows me to support you in exploring how your past, present and future are all coming together. It is very important to me to ensure you feel heard, in control, and confident every step of your journey. And in those moments where you don't feel in control or confident, to have the tools to be present with this experience. Addressing the past allows us to feel fully connected to our present self and our loved ones.

I have had the privilege of completing the Clinician Awareness Program hosted by Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue and the Florida Firefighters Safety & Health Collaborative. This program is focused on providing clinicians insight into the unique experiences of firefighters, in person training with the gear, and ride time to support them in being culturally competent in the care they provide. 

TREATMENT FOCUS

I work with adults, with a special focus on first responders, on many different presenting issues: trauma, maternal mental health, anxiety, burnout, parenting, and life transitions. I utilize the following evidenced based interventions to support you towards your goals:

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy
• Play Therapy
• I also bring in mindfulness based techniques to foster safety and coping tools.

I am passionate about providing a safe and non-judgmental space to support others in the process of growing into their authentic self. 

Together we will focus on identifying and building on the strengths that are already present. My experience enables us to work together, towards identified goals using effective individualized care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and make it a priority provide a neutral ground to individuals and families.
