MY PRACTICE

Welcome! My name is Ray Possen and I am a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) and Certified Trauma Professional (CTP). I am an experienced therapist with over 6 years in the substance use and mental health fields. 

I graduated from Hofstra University in New York in 2010 with my Bachelor of Science in Community Health Degree. I knew my passion was to continue further in providing compassionate care to others, which brought me to Boca Raton. In 2023 I graduated with my Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. 

TREATMENT FOCUS

I specialize in working with adults who struggle with substance use disorder, trauma, gender and sexuality, mood disorders, and adoption. I often highlight looking at family systems and attachment styles to see patterns in thought and behavior that have impacted you over time.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques including CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused and Motivational Interviewing.
