MY PRACTICE
Welcome! I’m Annabel Isham, a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. I’m completing my practicum and internship requirements for my degree under the supervision of Erin McKinney, LCSW, QS, RPT.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating:
- life transitions
- anxiety
- depression
- relational challenges
Before this role, I served at a treatment center in Tequesta, Florida as a Clinical Support Specialist, working with individuals in various stages of treatment and recovery. I had the pleasure of facilitating group therapy experiences centered on emotional regulation, mindfulness, and healing through connection as well as experiential work. My time there strengthened my passion for creating safe spaces where people can feel supported, regulated, and empowered in their healing journey.
I also, previously worked with at-risk children and families in West Palm Beach, Florida. Here I had the honor of supporting kids through emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and social skills growth. Through my work here and my previous internship with another counseling practice, I facilitated groups, provided individual support, and helped create nurturing environments where children could feel supported, understood, and empowered.
Whether you’re moving through a season of uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed by emotions, or longing for more connection and clarity, I’m here to support you in finding your footing and reconnecting with yourself.
Taking the step to come to therapy is a brave and meaningful choice, and I want to honor the courage it takes to seek support. My hope is to offer a space that feels safe, compassionate, and grounding, a place where you can slow down, breathe, and explore your experiences with care and curiosity.
TREATMENT FOCUS
I use an integrative approach, combining evidence-based and client-centered modalities to meet your unique needs:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Helps you identify and shift patterns of thinking and behavior that may be holding you back
- Mindfulness-Based Therapy: Supports awareness, emotional regulation, and self-compassion through present-moment practices
- Solution-Focused Therapy: Focuses on your strengths and practical steps to create meaningful change, even when life feels overwhelming
Together, we’ll create a space that feels grounded, open, and safe. I value the mind–body connection and believe healing deepens when we listen not only to our thoughts, but also to what our body is communicating.
I believe we are made up of many different parts, each holding its own story, emotion, or need, and therapy gives us the chance to explore those parts with gentleness and curiosity.
MY PROMISE
My hope is to help you gain clarity, move through difficult emotions with support, and develop strategies that bring more balance and resilience into your life.
Growth unfolds in its own time, and I’m here to walk alongside you with steadiness and compassion as you honor each part of yourself and move toward deeper wholeness.
