MY PRACTICE

Welcome! My name is Candace Newton and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field. I offer in person therapy sessions, for adults and families, in my office in West Palm Beach as well as through out the state of Florida.

I am also a Qualified Supervisor, which allows me the honor of supervising Mental Health Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist interns in the state of Florida. I bring both clinical expertise and real-world leadership to my work. 

I graduated from the University of Miami with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre, then went on to graduate with my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2014.

Throughout my career, I have served as a Clinical Case Manager, Primary Therapist, and Clinical Director—building and leading treatment programs designed to support meaningful, lasting change.

TREATMENT FOCUS

I specialize in trauma, inner child work, family therapy, and attachment-based work, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as:

• Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
•  Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

My clinical style is collaborative, direct, and holistic—focusing not only on symptom relief, but on understanding and addressing the deeper systems and patterns that sustain those symptoms. I believe that healing happens when we look at the full picture: the individual, their relationships, and the environments they move within.

Working primarily with adults and families, I create a therapeutic space that is warm, enlightening, and healing. I partner with you to increase insight, challenge stuck patterns, and support intentional, sustainable change. 

My approach is grounded in the belief that people already hold the capacity for growth—therapy simply helps clear the path forward while offering support as they bravely take those healing steps forward.
