MY PRACTICE
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Kira Swihart, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in West Palm Beach, Florida, with more than 10 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults through life’s challenges.
I’ve always had a heart for helping others, which led me to earn my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2015. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and families in schools, homes, and community settings. These experiences have taught me that everyone has a unique story and deserves a space where they feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.
I work with children and adolescents ages 6–17, as well as adults, who may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, maternal mental health concerns, or experiences related to adoption and foster care. Whether you’re a parent looking for support for your child, an adult moving through a difficult season, or a mother adjusting to the emotional changes that can come with pregnancy, postpartum, or motherhood, my goal is to meet you where you are.
I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free therapy space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I believe that feeling truly supported and understood creates room for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me drinking an iced Americano, reading a good book, or watching a home renovation show.
TREATMENT FOCUS
My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I recognize that therapy looks different for everyone, so I tailor our work together based on your age, experiences, needs, and goals.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
- Motivational Interviewing
- Mindfulness-Based Interventions
- Trauma-Informed Care
Through our work together, we may focus on understanding patterns, processing difficult experiences, developing healthier coping skills, strengthening emotional awareness, and helping you feel more confident navigating everyday life.
