MY PRACTICE
Hello and welcome! My name is Collin Tomlinson and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing in person therapy sessions at my office in West Palm Beach, outdoors in the community, and virtually throughout the state of Florida!
I graduated with my Bachelors in Community-Based Environmental Stewardship in 2018, then went on to attain my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021.
I have over five years of experience working in mental health and substance use treatment, including residential and outpatient treatment programs, private practice settings, and a school serving at-risk youth.
Throughout my career, I’ve supported people navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, relationship challenges, addiction and recovery, and major life stressors. These experiences have allowed me to work with people from many different backgrounds and at different stages of life, helping me bring a practical, supportive, and well-rounded approach to therapy.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy sandbag training, longboarding, and dog training. These areas have shaped how I view growth: as something built through consistency, repetition, and showing up even when it feels uncomfortable.
TREATMENT FOCUS
I work with teens and adults who are navigating stress, emotional regulation, identity, self-esteem, and patterns that may leave them feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in helping you better understand what is happening internally while building tools you can use in your everyday life.
I utilize evidence-based and body-informed approaches including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Solution Focused Brief Therapy
- Somatic-based work
I have a particular focus on men’s issues, working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, including people of color, and supporting clients who want to manage stress more effectively, strengthen self-esteem, and feel more in control of their responses.
I incorporate somatic and nervous system-informed approaches to help clients better understand how stress, emotions, and life experiences impact both the mind and body. Together, we build awareness of physical responses to stress while developing practical tools for regulation, including breathwork, grounding techniques, relaxation strategies, and mindfulness-based movement.
My goal is to help you or your teen to strengthen your ability to manage stress, feel more connected to oneself, and develop greater confidence in navigating emotional challenges. While movement may occasionally be integrated into the therapeutic process, the focus is always on emotional regulation, self-awareness, and supporting meaningful therapeutic growth.
I also value psychoeducation and group work as meaningful ways to better understand patterns, build insight, and create lasting change.
MY PROMISE
My goal is to help you move from insight into action. Together, we will work toward building stability, confidence, and a stronger sense of competency in managing the challenges of daily life.
